Let's Recruit Some New Members

posted Feb 22, 2012 4:32 PM by Richard Hagberg

Our season begins earlier this year, so we have less time for recruiting new members than before.

We need to receive new member applications by April 1, so start talking now to friends and co-workers who may be interested in joining us.

The men’s club is once again rebating $50 of the initiation fee for new members; it’s a great incentive.

Refer prospects to our website for for information. They'll also find a copy of the registration form in the Downloads section.

Schedule Change for July 28

posted Jul 25, 2011 3:40 PM by Rick Hagberg

It was quite unusual this year to have about 20% of our members qualify for the putting championship being held this Thursday July 28. Nice job! To allow them to compete, and to not penalize other members who may otherwise have to play against par or lose team points, we are making the following change to the league schedule.

1) There will be NO LEAGUE MATCHES PLAYED THIS WEEK. Matches originally scheduled for July 28 will be played on our scheduled makeup date: September 15.

2) A SPECIAL 9 HOLE TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD THIS THURSDAY. Any 9 hole league member or sub who is not in the putting championship may play. It will be a
5:00 shotgun, and you may sign up to play with any foursome you like when you check in. There is NO ENTRY FEE, and CASH PRIZES will be awarded using special funds provided by the Men’s Club. (You must still pay your green fees as usual.) The pro shop will determine the tournament format.

After the tournament there will be time to root for (or heckle) our putting heroes who will be finishing up in the putting championship.

This should be a fun opportunity to do something a little different. I hope to see you Thursday.
